CAVERSHAM ROAD BOARD.

The regular meeting of the Caversham Road Board was held in the Schoolhouse on Thursday evening. Present, Mr Rutherford, in the chair, Messrs Langmuir, Wilson, and Jackson. The chairman laid on the table two maps of the district proposed to be included in the Municipality, one of which is to be sent to Wellington, along with the petition, and the other to be kept for the use of the Board. A letter was read from Mr Massey to the effect, that as the City Council considered, that the fouling of the ditch at the South Dunedin Recreation Ground proceeded mainly from the discharge of water into it from Kensington, the Council preferred filling it up to keening it clean. The Clerk was instructed to write that the Board would be very glad to see the ditch filled up. The Inspector was authorised to repair tho culvert across the Forbury road at Mr Haase's property. Several accounts were passed for payment, and the Board, adjourned till 22nd inst.
