THE LATE JOE SMALL.

The mere mention of the late Mr Joe Small's name will' bring to the minds of many in this community and elsewhere, happy moments when lie entertained them with his quaint songs and comicalities. We feel sure, therefore, in stating that a letter has been received from his wife, in Sydney, representing her to be in destitute circumstances, that Ehe will meet' with many sympathisers in her distress. Messrs Steele and Keogh, lessees of the Queen's Theatre, have kindly consented to give a performance on her behalf on the Ist prox., and if a subscription list was opened, we feel assured it would be liberally failed up, especially when it is remembered how ever ready Mr Small was to give his services to a charity.
