Thia Board met on Wednesday* The Chief .Commissioner occupied the chair; the other members present were — Messrs Reid, Duncan, _an<l JEughes. Mr Joseph Silver applied for a mill-site at the Benger Burn. After discussion, it was resolved that he be recommended to apply for an agricultural lease. An application, oti behalf of the Wesleyan Church, to purchase sections 1 and 2, blook XLIX., Lawrence, was declined. Mr W. S. Douglas, for Conlon and party, applied for protection to prospect for antimony on the Taieri river. Protection for six months was granted over the ground indicated in the sketch. A plan submitted of a site for the Otaria Accommodation House, was approved of. The following applications, to purchase agricultural leaseß, were granted :— Robert Cowie, sections 1 and, 2, block IX., TuapekaEast. J. W. Robertson, section! 56 and 57, block 1. , Shotover. Thomas Wilson, section 86, block 11., Tuapeka East. The plans of surveys of sections in the townshipß of Naseby, Lawrence, Greytown, and Fairfax were approved of ; the upaet price of the suburban area 3of Lawrence and Fairfax fixed at L 3 per acre, and the price of the Bite of the Roman Catholic Church at Naseby at L 3 per quarter-acre.
