THE GOVERNOR WRECKED ON THE WEST COAST.
From intelligence handed to us by the Hon. Mr Gisborne, we learn that H.M.S. Clio, with the Governor on board, has been wrecked on a Bunken rock in Bligh Sound, West Coast. It is believed, however, that it will be possible to careen and repair her. The news was brought to Queenstown yesterday by Dr Hector, who came across the mountains, . occupying six and a half days in doing so. We will publiah further particulars next ■week.
