Messrs. Drives, Maclean & Co. report —
Prime Beef, 41s to 44s per lOOibs, with a slightly upward tendency. Prime Mutton, 3£d to 4d per lb. Store Cattle— Mixed mobs, £7 to £8 10s ; do, Bullocks, 2 to 5 years, £9 10s.
Good Dairy Cows, Lls to £20. Store Sheep — Wethers, 4-tooth and upwards, 9s to 9s 6d ; ewes, 2-tooth, about 14s ; do, 2, 4, and 6-tooth, 13s ; do, full-mouthed, about 8s 6d. Lambs, mixed sexes, 17s 6dto ISs per pair.
On Friday last, the 19kh inst., Messrs Wright, Robertson and Co. held a sale of cattle, at the West Taieri. The weather being fine, there was a very large attendance. Upwards of 300 hea'i were offered for sale, consisting of well-bred store catte and a number of prime dairy cows ; also, about 50 horses. Fat cattle found ready purchaser", at from 37s 6d to 40s per lOOibs. ; for very fine store cattle and broken-in cows buyers were limited ; cows near calving averaged from £12 to £14. Several good draught horses were sold from £35 to £45 ; medium draught, £20 to £30-
