SIR, — We, the Undersigned Inhabitants of Otago, feeling deeply interested in the Establishment of Steam Communication along the coast of this Province, and directly with Australia, beg respectfully to request that you will, at your earliest convenience, call a Public Meeting, to be held in the Schoolroom, Dunedin, for the purpose of ascertaining what steps may be necessary to realize this important object.
