Superintendent' a Office, Dunediu, 14th October 1856. fiAVTATN THOMSON of the " Thomas v-/ and Henry" having brought a withdrawal by the owner of the steamer " Shandon" of his tender to the Otago Government, the following Notice is issued. By order, JOHN LOGAN, Clerk to Superintendent^ STEAM TENDERS. mENDERS will be received wmm&a at tbis office for the SEA-GOING STEAM VESSEL, Sufficient to ply continuously, and under Regulations approved by the Government, between the Jf Jprt of Otago and the several Harbours and Boat r^Hirbours of the Province. Also, for the supply of a STEAM TUG for Inside Service in Otago Harbour, capable of carrying — say 30 tons cargo, together with deck passengers, and also of towing goods punts, or other vessels between the Heads and Dunedin, under regulations of the Government. In both cases there must be a full description of the Vessel tendered, the Bonus required, and a date named by which, if accepted, the Vessel will be laid on. But with respect to the Tug, she may be also offered at a price, with obligation for delivery in Otago Harbour by a given date. It is known that an experienced Engineer is to be had in Dunedin, and who, with a crew of two slokers, would, as he has stated, be sufficient for the service.
