ORIGINAL CORRESPONDENCE.
Dear Editor, this Doctor Bolus, Sol's Esculapian ally solus — This son of Mars, erst keen for fighting, Wow perpetrates sad fibs in writing. Ne'er mind, his J. P. claims grow stronger, They'll dub him one before much longer : Probation est he hopeful rises — What wonder that he sympathises.
Sol takes the highest place in wisdom, The light and centre of the system, And joying in his light effulgent, Is to no lesser orb indulgent ; Declares, in characters emphatic, Your correspondents quite " lunatic H I've seen him from the first with sadness In that peculiar state of madness Which charges lunacy on every other, — A state I fear he'll scarce recover. Let idle Bolus then go cure him ; Decided case, I do assure him ; Sol's -wits restored, he may show fitness To '• grace" the columns of the Witness. The Max o' the IMoox.
