OTAGO ASSOCIATION.

At a Special General Meeting of this Society, held in Edinburgh on the 14th May 1851, Sir James Forest in the Chair, the following additional Members, resident in Edinburgh, were elected, namely : — Messrs. Alexander Auchie. John Auld, W.S. James Balfour, younger, W.S. James Crawford, do., W.S. James Craig, Merchant. Patrick Dalmahoy^W.S. James Duncan, Boot Maker. Thomas Edmonstone, Merchant. William Gray, Accountant. • John F. Hawkins, H.E. I. C. Civil Service. John Macdonald, Accountant. George Meldruw, do. John Young Myrtle, M.D. Robert Paul, Manager, Commercial Bank. Robert M. Stark, Seedsman. John Smith, Regent Road. James Wilson, Merchant. Robert Wright, Architect. And at an Adjourned General Meeting held

on the 39th of the same month, the following gentlemen were appointed the Association's Committee of Management, with power to add to their number, so as to give attention to London and Belfast : — Sir James Forest, Bart. Geo. Smyttan, Esq., M.D. Robert Blair, Esq William Cowan, Esq. George Cousin, Esq. Hugh Redpath, Esq. Alex. Auchie, Esq. John Auld, Esq. James Balfour, yr., Esq. James Crawford, yr., Esq. Thos. Edmonstone, Esq. William Gray, Esq. Robert M. Stark, Esq. Robert Wright, Esq.

The accounts from Otago read at these meetings were to 4th December, 1850, and gave great satisfaction, especially the Congregational Meetings of 14th and 26th November, and the Public Meeting of 3rd December, as severally reported. And it further appears that the Resolutions of the Public Meeting of 3rd December, on being communicated by the Association to Lord Grey, had been marked by his Lordship's approbation.
