We regret to learn that Mr. 11. L. Boa uc lm nip is at present in very indifferent health. Mr. H. B. Edhouse, who has been on holiday at Tanpo, returned to Otaki last night.

Mr. Roy Shepherd and Mr. William Ilnrdhum, of Paraparaumti, are at present enjoying a tour of the North Island.

Alan Loveday, the brilliant Palmerston North boy violinist, will leave Wellington for England at the end of the month to continue his musical studies.

Further tributes to the late Mr. .T. K. Hornblow were paid by the Palmerston North Hospital Board on Monday when a framed photograph of its former chairman was unveiled in the board room in the presence of Mrs. Hornblow and members of tlie familv.

The death occurred recently at Putnruru of Mr. Charles Larsen, an employee at the Public Works camp, and a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ole Larsen, of Otaki. It appears that the young mail, who was 3(i years of age, was subject to tits, and while walking along the bed of the river must have had a seizure as he was found in only a few inches of water. Much sympathy is felt for the bereaved parents and otliei relatives. The late Mr. Larsen was a popular young man and was born in Otaki and educated at the local State School. He was the sixth £.on of Mr. and Mrs. Larsen and was unmarried. The funeral was attended by a number of relatives and friends.
