MANAWATU HUNT.

MEET AT MANAKAU. Tiic meet of the Manawatu Hunt cm Saturday was at the homestead of Mr W. 11. Swainson, Manakau, thence over the properties of Messrs J. and T. Bryant, Dimock, Martin, Cotteri]l and Lander to the Main South Hoad and back again by another circuit over the same properties. There were not as many followers as usual, owing largely to a number of the members ’ mounts having competed at the Hunt Club meeting during the .week. The drags were laid by Miss Swainson, on Mac, and Mr L Bertram, on Tommy. At the conclusion of the hunt, those present were entertained at afternoon tea at the residence of Mr -Swainson, and the host and hostess were thanked bv Mr ,J. Kilsby, Among those out were Messrs J. The next hunt, oit Saturday, will be au all-day one, r.-ith a run from Papaitonga to Okau Hall in the morning and from Air Colquhoun’s in the afternoon. The cast-off in the morning trill be at 10.30, and the afternoon run at 3 o’clock. A large gathering is expected. .. ' :
