DISTRICT NOTES. At tlie annual meeting of tlie Foxton Football Club, bold on Monday evening, it was decided to nominate only a junior team this year. The balancesheet showed a deficit for the year. At the annual meeting of the Hornwhenua Rugby District Council, held last evening, nominations of five senior . teams were received. This year’s senior competition will be of four rounds, the last round to count for the Nash Cup. The championship competition will commence on Saturday, May 2nd, in the Horowheuua district. A netv senior team has been nominated from Moutoa, while Shannon, Hui Mai, Otaki and Wanderers have also entered senior teams. A new departure in the McLennan Cup rules has been fixed so that any club under the 11.R.D.C. may challenge the holders at any time prior to the commencement of the championship fixtures or after they have finished, provided the H.R.D.C. have control of tho ground on which the match is to be played. The secretary of the local club has received an invitation for a team from Otaki to visit Moutoa on Saturday and play a friendly match. Messrs J. McGill, S. Elliott and W. C. Childs were re-elected to the Horowlienua 'Rugby District Council, at tbo delegate meeting of that body last evening.
