YEARLY REPORT. “The Otaki Branch has had a successful year. We began with 53 members, many not financial, but several of those resigned, others have joined up, and we close our year with 58 on the roll and all financial. Last April wo held a garden party at Mrs. H. B. Lethbridge’s and raised £-1 11s, half of which was sent to headquarters. The rest went iuto our saving bank account. The Branch celebrated its third birthday on September 15th. Owing to the lack of interest shown, by most of the members the Branch would have been out of pocket but for the generosity of a few of the interested ones. “We had threo applications for housekeepers, one position being filled at a few hours notice. One application was withdrawn, and for the third no housekeeper was available. _“Most ? if not all, of our members .have helped in various ways sufferers ; from the earthquake area, either :n billeting, helping to feed or to clothe them and the Branch gave a donation of £-1 to the fund. As usual bur mem- ; bers have taken books and flowers to the hospital during their allotted ! months. A big undertaking on the part of the Division has materialised in the shape of a-very excellent cookery book, ‘The Household Guide, ’ which is on sale to the public at 2s a copy. Already over 4,000 copies have been sold and a second edition is being prepared. —E. B, SIMCOX, Hon. Secretary.’’ Receipts andi Payments. RECEIPTS.
