There was a large gathering —a record so far this season —at the Fire Brigade’s euchro party on Wednesday evening. Games wore keen, some close contests being witnessed. Mrs. Butt and Mr. J. Evans won the main prizes and Mrs. Stewart and Mr. C. Smith consolation trophies. The points prizes were won by Mrs. Knight and Mr. Dodds. Supper was served anil fully appreciated. On account of the dance at To Horo on the 11th there will be no euchre that night at the station, but cards for non-dancers will be supplied at To Horo. A girl is wanted for housework. A housekeeper is advertised for. A boy to take race telegrams on Wednesday is wanted. Miss liczard has resumed teaching in Otaki.
