FAREWELL DANCE.
A farewell function was ytenoerea to, Mr and Mrs Ridder m the Scott's Gap hall on' Friday evening,, 14th inst., prior to .their removal to Merrivale, the large gathering testifying , to the popularity of the departing guests. The- function took the' form of a" dance- . music' for which was supplied by Mr and Mrs -Ridder. aud Mr King, ' while Mr Saunders carried out the duties of onaster of ceremonies. Mr John Evans expressed the regret of all " at- the . departure of Mr and Mrs Ridder, who had taken a live interest m any movement-, which had for its object the advancement of the district. Their musical talents had always been at the disposal of eVery social function; and' .they would be greatly missed m this respect. In asking them .to accept an oak clock on behalf of the people of Scott's Gap and surrounding district as a slight token of the esteem m which they were held, Mr Evans wished them, every success. Mr Ridder su/tably /acknowledged the gift.
