WOMEN'S DIVISION.
The monthly meeting on Friday was well attended, Mrs Evans, President, 'presiding. " An apology was received from Mrs D. Sheddan, while the President extended a welcome to Mrs R. Sheddan, " who was again well and able. to, be present. , * ? A letter from : the Home Science^ Extension Bureau conveying next year's syllabus with list of lectures was received, the boxes to be read at this Branch, being chosen. An invitation to the 6th birtfidsly party of the Invercargill Branch was accepted, many of the members expressing their intention of attending, on 21st November, at 1.15 p.m..- At 'the. Local Branch's Exchange Table on llth December, orders will be taken for produce and Christmas poultry. At the afternoon session, Miss Gill, of Winton, gave a most interesting address and demonstration on "Icing Cakes." She also apologised for the absence of Mrsi Gill, who was to speak .on "Pastry' Making," but was unable to be present. , ' ' Mrs Geo. Low moved a hearty vote of thanks to. Miss Gill for her attendance and demonstration, this being carried by acclamation^ Mrs Smith, President of the Winton Branch, also spoke on Division matters.
