Dr Gillies and Johnson played well, they had to play extra games to get so far on, and tired towards the finish. In the Men's Doubles Higgins arid Johnson played splendidly. They wore only extended m the final by Knaggs and AUmf), but had this game been played earlier the difference would have been greater.
On the days play Johnson (T.ua tapere) played the best tennis. Tuatapere are unlucky m that he is removing, and will be lost to the Club.
A special word of thanks is due to all those who assisted at the umpiring, especially Mr P. Grant, Nightcaps, who certainly did yeoman service m this lespect.
