At tbat time be was tbe owner of a second hand car which cost £300. Tbis was bought on a deposit of £50 and he wss making monthly payments of £12 to Messrs Vickeiy's, Ltd. Shortly after starting, tin. car began to give trouble and witness exchanged it with Vickery's for a new Dodge costing £395, an allowance of £200 being given for old vehicle.
