Straw chaff. — The market is quiet, the Australian demanp hoving fallen off but we ha7e a few enquiries which will not L 2 12s 6d to L2;lss o.t, free of commission and charges Oats.— The has been very animated on account o£ the large demand created by the requirements of the Colonial and Imperial Governments, and we had the satisfaction of being able to net growers up to 4s Id 0.t., which we can continue to do. We sold A's 4s 6d, B'b 4b 5d f.o.b, s.i. Tho f.o.b advanced 3d only, but local merchants wore compelled to raise their buying limits as much as 6cl per bushel. The general opinion is that when the outside requirements are satisfied, the market will ease. We ask for a continuance of the support of growers m submitting us samples.
