Otautau River Board.
The Board met last Tuesday when there were present Messrs Walker (chairman), Ford, Scatter, Harrington, Grey and Swap. W. G. Tait wrote on behalf of D. Mclvor re. the channel going through or allegedly through his property.— The Board 6f the opinion that so far as they were uJrare this channel did nofc go through Mr **:Mclvor's property. James Powell wrote asking for extension qf time for his contract and the letter was received, plans and specifications to be produced. The rates were struck as follows : — For Subdivision "No. 1 : Grade 1, §d m the fc', Grade 2, Jd m the £, Grade 3, l-16d m the £ • Subdivision No. 2 : Grade 1, _d m the £, Grade 2, gd m the £, Grade 3, id m the £# A further vote of £10 was passed for protective works on the Aparima River m Subdivision No. 1 , Mr Scatter was granted permission to remove soil from the Ch&utau river. Accounts amounting to £113 13s lOd vere passed for payment.
