COUNTRY WIT
An old farmer was noted for boasting about the products of his farm. So one day a neighbor, thinking to take a rise out of him, sent his man to ask if he could have the loan of his cross-cut saw to cut a turnip up to as to get it in the cart. He was .not Quito sure, however, that he had had the best of it when he received the following reply • — " You should have had the «iw with pleasure, but have juet got it fast in a potato."
