CLEARING SALK AT SCOTT'S GAP.

Wright, Stephenson and Co., [Ltd., report haying conducted a very successful clearing sale on account of Mr Murdoch McKay, of Scott's Gap, on Thursday. The weather was all that could be desired, and there was a rery fair number of farmers present from m and around the district. Bidding was very spirited, and everything changed hands at rull market prices. Mr McKay offered 272 ewes and lambs, which, after keen competition, were knocked down to Mr Joseph Childs at 12s 2d. The horses were keenly sought after, being good usoful sorts, aud were sold at the following prices : — £33, £25, £18and £12. Ihe cows sold at the following prices :— £9 2s 6d, £7, £i 15s and £4, while a forward steer brought £7 10s and a heifer £4 6s. Three nice yearlin gg brought £2 each.

Implements, sundries aud household furniture brought good prices, the following being some of the amountg realised for the implements :— Binder £37 10$, ridger £13 10s, set of discs £8, i buggy £13, dray and frame £13 ss, fanners £4, while a sheaf stack was sold at £30 10s, Mr Andrew Salton being the purchaser.
