Birch wood Hunt Club.

On Wednesday last tbe above pack met at Mr John Fraser's. near Otautau. A short but very pretty run was laid out, and the undulating nature of the country gave the spectators, who wete numerous, a splendid view of the proceedings. Among the most prominent followers I noticed : Huntsman on Teal, Whip on the Rose, Acting-master on Terry, Mr Fraser on a really nice bay, Mr Owen Sutton on a St. Patrick colt* 0. Church on Homeward, Alek Saunders on Larrakin,JL Gibson on a bay * M.. O'Brien on Silvering, J. Simon on Wonderful, W. Gardiner on Shamrock, Mr Agnew on Embrasure, Mr Walton on Toby, and several others. After the run the followers and spectators were entertained by Mr and Mrs Fraser at afternoon tea, where the Master returned thanks for the good afternoon's sport afforded by Mr Fraser and family. ■ On Saturday the pack met at Mr Carrick's, at Flaxmere, where ' a splendid run eventuated. tfhe following were the most noticeable: Huntsman on Teal, Whip on The I Rose, C.
