A PATHETIC STORY.

A schoolboy was recently charged at Willee* den with stealing a can of milk from a doorway at Higll road, Willesden (England). The lad said he took the milk because his brothers and sitsers had nothing to- eat. The court missionary said the family were very respectable. The father of the boy had been out of work since Christmas, and there were eight children. They were living m a state of semi-starvation. They were the kind of people who were very reluctant to tell anyone of their condition. The father of the boy said he believed his son had taken the milk to feed his brothers and sisters. The missionary had got him a position, and he was now able to keep his family. Discharged. .
