BOYLE CUP BOWATER'S GOOD ROUND Although i the weather was fine and the links were in excellentorder, a strong southerly made conditions a little difficult in the first round of the Boyle Cup series (best two nett scores in three rounds) with the result that fewer low nett scores were returned than is usual. C. Bowater's card, 76-14-62, was easily the best, while S. Hutchen also played well returning a 68 nett. L. Nicoll, H. Otene and D. Watt were the only other players tp record nett scores under 70. LADIES' GOLF The first club day will be held on Wednesday at 10.30 a.m., when a medal round will be played. A draw will be made at the club house.
