OPENING OF STATION
DEMONSTRATION EVENTS TOMORROW'S BIG DAY The culmination of over two years of continuous and unremitting effort, the official opening of the new Fire Station tomorrow afternoon will be the most important—and from the_ brigade members point of view—the mo3t satisfactory milestone in the Opunake Volunteer Fire Brigade's history. The enthusiasm and splendid co-oporative spirit which has existed among memebers in the past will undoubtedly reap its reward tomorrow afternoon, and we hope the public of Opunake and district will recognise its duty and make the occasion a memorable one for all concerned. Sixteen visiting brigades from all parts of Taranaki will be present and an excellent programme of events and demonstrations has been arranged. A parade, led by the Opunake Federal Band, will leave the Post Office at 1.30 p.m. and the official opening, which will be performed by His Worship the Mayor, Mr. G. C. Clouston, is scheduled to take place at 2 p.m. The brigade extends a hearty welcome to all.
