SUCCESSFUL YEAR BOBBY CALF POOL The past season of the RahotuCape Egmont Bobby Calf Pool had been a very successful one, stated the chairman, Mr. W. H. Butler, in his annual report. The nett average return to farmers was 15/11J per calf compared with 13/0.3d for the previous season. The average price received for passed calves at the farmer's gate was IT/3J, less cartage to the works amounting to 1/4. The average weight of" the calves was 60.961 b., compare'd with 59.771 b. for the previous year, and the. total number of calves collected ivn s 6,671, compared with 6,178. PANTRY EVENING HELD Miss iS. Dodunski was guest of honour at a pantry evening held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. P. Norgate, Rahotu. Songs were sung bv Miss Dodunski, Mr. R. Rose, Mr. G. Cowling and Mr. R. Norgate. Mr. G. Butler presented gifts on behalf of those present.
