HOME AND SCHOOL . GUEST SPEAKERS Mrs. J. Brophy presided over an .attendance of 24 members at the meeting v of the Pungarehu Home and School Association held in the hostel. Messrs. McLaughlin and Jillett, Opunake, were the guest-speakers. The , hostesses were Miss Fleming and' Mesdames Campbell and Goodih.. Gala Night A large attendance was pres-. ; ent at the Pungarehu hall at a gala night in aid of the football carnival. Stallholders were Mes- ' dames J. Brophy, H. Gilhooly, Vickers, Misses Fleming, Hurley, Kirkwood. Competitions were won by Miss D.,- Corrie, Miss N. Fleming, Mrs. Berry, and Miss C. Davy. The Young . People's Club was in charge..of rr the dance programme. Monte carlos being won by Miss (L Brown and Mr. T. Corrie. Mr.P-; Goodin was M.C.
