PRISONER WELL TREATED

A general indication that he is well and happy and that he is being well treated is given in two postcards, one of which is dated duly 14 and came to New Zealand via ‘Pan-American Airways Clipper, and a letter that have been received hy Mrs. X. N. Watt from her son, Lieutenant T. N. Watt, who is now a prisoner of war in Germany.

The first postcard received by Mrs. Watt was sent from a Transit Camp in Greece and in it lieutenants Watt stated that among the prisoners of war at that camp were Ken Riley, Don McKenzie and Bill Gadsbv of Opunake.

The other post-card and letter were sent from Germany and Lieutenant Watt states that he was captured after a scrap at Kalamata, Southern Greece, on April 29. He was kept in Transit Camp in Greece till June 5 and then came through parts ox Europe and Germany to arrive at their present officers camp on June 16. In other camps for men Opium 1 - e was represented bv Ken Rilev, Don McKenzie, Bill Gadsby and Bob Kearns lieutenant Watt states that their friends may wide to them as often as they wish and that they are allowed one clothing parcel every three months. The prisoners get only 4 • cards and J lefters per month to send.
