VAMPIRE OF WOODS

REIGN OF TERROR ANIMAL INSTINCTS. Gruesome details of a series of vampire attacks upon little girls at the town of Cieehanow, about 3U miles north of Warsaw, are being gradually revealed following the arrest of the assailant who proved to be a nine-year-old boy, Casimir Tocinski.

During the past three weeks the inhabitants of the outskirts of Cieehanow have been living in terror, because of attacks upon little girls, ranging in age from three to six years, who have been found stabbed in surrounding fields and woods. Two of the victims of the boy vampire, one aged four and the other aged six, bled to death on their way to hospital, and other wounded girls are seriously ill.

Those who recovered sufficiently to tell the story explained haltingly that a boy lured them away to some quiet place with sweets, and then tore their clothing stabbed them, and then suck, ed their blood. Stabbed Two Policemen.

Peasants were attracted by cries from the underbrush in a wood a few miles outside Cieehanow. There they found the sixyear old daughter of a woodchopper lying on the ground with a ragged and wild-looking boy kneeling over her and stabbing her.

Casimir shared his mother's mother's life until several months ago, when he disappeared. He was seen roaming the neighbourhood from time to time and slept in barns and fields.

Brought to prison in Warsaw, he was examined by a doctor who declared he was developed beyond his age bodily, while mentally he was totally undeveloped and possessed animal instincts.
