Devonport's Dramatic Co.

WEDNESDAY NEXT, JUNE 29. The above talented company of dramatic artists play a one-night season in the Opunake Town Hall on Wednesday evening next, presenting a stirring drama, "The Web of Fate," in four ar'is, by Dudley Grant, the famous American author. The above drama is spoken of as being exceptionally sensational and pathetic, at one moment bringing the audience to tears, tbe next causing thunderous laughter, every scene depicting startling situations. The leads are taken by Mr Frank Devonport, Miss May Gwyne, and Mr Phillip Selway, and tbe comedy by Miss Ivy May, who introduces the latest songs, and Mr Geo. Vance, an English comedian. Mr Alf. Coffey, an liish servant, causes screams of laughter, as also does Mr Franois Ray, as Sergeant Malone. The company have been playing to packed houses since their opening performance at Auckland, and local theatregoers have an exceptional dramatic treat before them.
