Native Land Court.

The above Court commenced here on Friday last, and. concluded on Tuesday evening, mW. B. Rawson was judge, Mr Hemi Brueti assessor, and Mr C. W. P. Seon clerk and interpreter. There were between 50 and 60 cases dealt with, but none of them were of very great interest, being merely the determination of the rightful successors to the interests of deceased owners, The natives have begun to realise that long and expensive fights in the Land OourS over their lands do not pay, as very few of the cases were contested, Their behaviour in Court all through was all that could be desired.

The Court moved on to New Plymouth on Wednesday.
