WOOL SKIRTING

GRADING ALTERATION x PRICE DIFFERENCE The Opotiki woolbrokers have received the following letter from the president of the New Zealand Wool Brokers Association w.th further reference to skirting. It is now set out by the appraisers that where the bellies and pieces and fribby bits have been taken off but not deeply skirted,, these wools are to be taken as skirted this coming season and in consequence will be increased from a “C” grade to a “B” grade. This will naturally make a considerable difference in the price.

“O” grade wool will this year be an average, topmaking, fair colour, containing a few cotts, unskirted, bush stained or part seedy. Part seedy does not mean heavy seedy.

We pass this information on to you as no doubt you will have numerous enquiries this year in connection with skirting.
