RED CROSS DISPLAY
TO-MORROW AND FRIDAY An opportunity to see some of the practical work of the Red Cross will be afforded the public on Thursday and Friday of this week when a display of goods made by the workers of the district will be exhibited in the window of ' Mr. Cresswell’s shop*. The goods displayed are intended for the relief of some of the many people in London rendered homeless on account of air raid attacks. During its one year’s activities the local Red Cross workers have made over 1000 garments for the sick and wounded, and have been instrumental in despatching fifteen cases of clothing, much of it new, to help relieve the distress of refugees. The thanks of. the committee are due to Mr. Cresswell for allowing the display to be made in the very attractive window of his new shop.
