INDECENT LANGUAGE CHARGES OF DRUNKENNESS At the Opotiki Police Court on. Friday before Mr, C. Pipe, J.P., Jack Pereniki, was charged with being found drunk in the Cricket Reserve on 26th. September. He was convicted and' discharged and ordered to take out a prohibition order. This morning, before Messrs. J. T. Merry and C. Pipe, J.P’s., Mate Mokomoko was charged with being found drunk in Main Street, and also with using indecent language. The Bench took a serous view of the second charge. On the first charge defendant was convicted and discharged after consenting to the issue of a prohibition order against himself, an don the second charge he was convicted and fined £l.
