“THE FIGHTING GRINGO” An exciting tale of adventure and gunplay in South-west Texas of 60 years ago, not far from the Mexican border, was brought to the screen in “The Fighting Gringo,” starring George O’Brien. This story of fast-moving action reveals O’Brien at his two-fisted, hard-riding best. It is a slight departure from the usual type of O’Brien pictures, and the unusual ending will surprise and delight all who see it. Heading a group of vagabonds who make their living by hiring out their guns, O’Brien and his men, after completing their job of guarding a bullion train, rescue a stagecoach from a bandit attack. Aboard the coach is an attractive senorita and her governess. Grateful, the girl invites O’Brien to visit the rancho of her father, Don Aliso. In town O’Brien learns the- old Don’s ranch is about to be taken from him by the_ local banker. Attending a fiesta at the rancho in hi's honour, O’Brien sees the Sheriff, the banker anifhis foreman ride up and p&sent the old Don

with a survey of his land showing it is not rightfully his. In the study where the banker and Don Aliso have gone to talk over matters, tho banker’s foreman climbs through a window, knocks the Don unconscious and shoots the banker.
