RISING STRENGTH
POWER OE BRITAIN AID FROM AMERICA APPRECIATION BY AXIS bid to extend war (News by Cable.) CHUNGKING, Sept. 25. The recent Axis conference in Rome revealed the increasing strength of Britain and also indicated a spreading of the European war, according to the influential Chinese daily Takung Pao. “Germany is suffering a setback in the war of Britain and, therefore, is anxious to extend the area of the war and also strengthen the Axis,” states the paper. “On the other hand as a result of closer Ang o American co-operation the strength of Britain is daily increasing.”
