There was a large attendance at a successful dance held in the Waiotahi Hall on Friday night-. The function was arranged by the members of the AVaiotahi AVomen’s Institute. Alnsic was supplied by tlie Jxit Kat Orchestra with popular extras by Airs T. AA . Burke and Air R. Parkes. The duties of AI.C. were capably carried out by Mr L. Looney. Novelty dances were won by Aliss I. Snell and Air AloKenzie, Aliss G. Armstrong and AJr D. Clark. A competition was won by Air A. E. Ruff. During an interval. Airs C. AA'hlte, on behalf of the Institute, presented Aliss Hazel Eason, a member of the institute, who is shortly leaving for Te Aroha, with a useful fountain pen and pencil set. Airs AA'hite spoke of Aliss 'Eason’s invaluable services for the Institute, and wished her success and happiness in her new surroundings. Miss' Eason expressed her thanks for the gift and all joined in singing “lor She’s a Jolly Good Fellow”. The ladies served a dainty supper and dancing was ctmtinued. Among those present were
