The large holders still quote at rates slightly over the market, while millers tire resisting tbe effort to r.iise the market, and are practically covered for the whole of this month, so that it does not seem probable that they will have to go to the large holders belore new wheat comes m longer than for about four to six weeks In all about 11,000 bags have be.en quitted at from 4s lid up to 5s 2d, though it is difficult to obtain over 5s except for small parcels. Flour has been m steady demand. About 500 tons have changed hands at from £1J for stone-dressed, and £12 for patent roller. Beceipts of wheat were somewhat smaller this week than last, while exports were rather larger. Of flour, receipts were much the same, while the exports show a considerable increase over those of last week. The feed grain market has shown some slight improvement. For prime samples of maiting barley there has been a good inquiry, but little or none is obtainable, stocks bejng pretty well exhausted. Prime New Zealand has been Bold at 5s 4d, and fair Victorian at 4s 7^d. Feed barley has had fair sales at up to 3s 9d for small parcels. Oats have shown some sight improvement over last week's values, and sales of New Zealand have been made at up to on 7d and 3s 7£l for small lots. Tusmaniaa have been sold f\t 3s (id ex wharf. Potatoes have been fairly dealt m at from £G to £6 15s.
