Mr B. Gwilliam has been appointed to supervise the erection of the Rising Sun Goldmining Company's battery at Owharoa. At a special meeting of the shareholders iv Auckland yesterday it was unanimously decided that the battery of to head of stamps be erected without further delay. «

WORK AT WHAREKIRAUPONGA.

The Great Northern G.M. Company of Wharekirauponga has decided to proceed with the driving of the low level. It is anticipated that 300 feet of driving will cut six known lodes. This is the old claim known as the Royal Standard, and for some years was an English company, and by mining men who know the claim is considered to be one of the best propositions in the district.
