PRESENTATION TO MISS §

EVANS

At the conclusion of the choir practice at the Presbyterian Church on Friday evening, Mr D. T. Inglis, on behalf of

the congregation and choir, presented Miss Evans with a gold neck chain and pendant. In making the presentation, Mr Inglis relerred to the fact that Miss Evans had acted as organist to the church for the past four years, and assured her that her intended departure was much regretted both by himself and the other office bearers and members of the congregation. He also referred to the interest Miss Evans had taken in the Sabbath school and the movements concerning the welfare of the church. Mr Bush, the choirmaster, also expressed his regret at losing, and his appreciation of, the capable arid zealous services of Miss Evans, whose departure from Paeroa he regretted very much.

He wished Miss Evans Qood health and happiness in her new home.
