Scotia. —The stoping is proceeding with two men on the No. 1 reef, and the ore coming to hand "is averaging two pounds one shilling at the lip ot the box. Rising Sun.—The tunnel is along 1276 feet. The country is white blocky sandstone, and is good shooting ground, all requiring timbering. Tairua Broken Hills.—Night reef: Driving north on the Night reef and rising to connect with the winze south of the crosscut have been in progress. Eighteen feet have been risen to date. The reef is opening out slightly, and shows an improvement in the dish prospects. The west crosscut now measures thirty-two feet from the shaft, seven feet having been driven for the week. The Chamber reef has been cut through, and proves to be about nine ieet in width. The quartz is of a kindly appearance.
