MANAGERS' REPORTS

Silverstream.—The tunnel is in 562 ft. The lode m Corbett's level still carries some sulphide in the centre of the face. Golden Cross.—The reef has taken a turn to the left, and half the face is now in solid quartz, and the remainder is a conglomeration of quaitz. The stone has still, a favourable appearance. Karangahake, — The Taukani low. level is still penetrating nice brown andesite. The reef should be to hand any time now. Manui reef is 2ft wide, and the ore looks well. Commonwealth. —No. 1 leader is still in good country. On Saturday the contractors drilled into quartz on the right hand, but it will take a little time to determine # whether or not this is the main lode. Champion Mines. — Stoping north from the rise and squaring up the south end has been continued this week. In both ends the reef looks well, and there is abundance of sulphides and minerals of the best description. Waihi Reefs Consolidated. — Good progress has been made sinking the shaft, which is now down 621 ft. The ground in the bottom has changed, it being now ot a softer nature. The water making in the bottom is about the same (200 gallons per hour). The machinery has been going well during the fortnight. *
