LODGE OHINEMURI.

INSTALLATION OF OFFICERS

The annual meeting of Lodge Ohinemuri, No. 107, N.Z.C., took place on Wednesday night at the lodge room at Paeroa. There was a large attendance ot members, and in addition about 140 visitors were present. The installation of Bro. R. T. Bush was conducted in an impressive manner by R.W. Bro. T. W. Allen, P.S.G.W. The presenting officers were Wor. Bro. G. Lapraik, W.M., Corinthian Lodge, No. 1655, E.C., and Wor. Bro. F. H. Claxton, P.M., Lodge Sir Walter Scott, No. 15. The Director of Ceremonies was Wor. Bro. M. J. Hams, P.S.G.D.; the musical director was Bro. J. Tracy Knight; and the herald Wor. Bro. H. J. Pearse, W.M., Lodge of Light, No. 454, I.C. The presentation ot working tools in the third degree was carried out by Wor. Bro. W. H. Newton, P.M., Corinthian Lodge, No. 1655, E.G., in the second degree by Wor. Bro. C. I Macdiarmid, P.M., Lodge Beta-Waikato, No. 12, and in the first degree by Wor. Bro. H. J. Pearse, W.M., Lodge of Light, No. 454, I.C. The address to the W.M. was delivered by R. W. Bro. G.H. Powley, P.D.G.M., to the Wardens byV.W. Bro. F. H. Mueller, P.G.R., and to the brethren by R.W. Bro. T. W. Allen, P.SyG.W. The investiture ot officers was carried out in a very able manner by the newly - installed W.M. The officers of the lodge for the ensuing year are as tollows:—W.M., Bro. R. T. Bush; D.M., R.W. Bro. Searle; Organist, Bro. T. Knight; S.D., Bro. C. E. Walmsley; J.D., Bro. C. Foster; 1.G., Bro. F. A. B. Cameron; S.S., Bro. L. F. Ott; J.S., Bros. J. L. Hanna and F. Bluck ; Auditors, Bro H. A. Sommerville and Wor. Bro. S. D, McMiken ; Tyler, Bro. J. Gadd; Preceptor ot Lodge of Instruction, Wor. Bro. W. G; Nicholls. During the evening a handsome P.M. jewel was presented to the retiring W.M., Bro. F. A. Balcke, the presentation being made by R. W. Bro. G. H. Powley on behalf of the lodge. The visitors were subsequently entertained at a banquet m the Criterion Theatre, a sumptuous repast being provided by the caterer, Bro. E Brornwich.
