A painful accident occurred yesterday afterhpoh to Mr R. McGregor, who was working iii the Lone Hand mine up the Karaka. A fall of earth occurred and ■ McGregor was injured jn consequence. His head was bad\y cut, and ms back badly scraped. He was conveyed to the Thames Hospital where his injuries were attended to and last night he was reported to be progressing favourably.
