School Picnic.
The annual pbtric in connection with the Paeroa Public School was held on the racecourse oil Saturday last. Tuero was a large atteadance of parents and friends, while the children were, of course, present in full force. A willing eommitteo attended to the wants of the youngsters, who ail thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The teachers all worked hard to make the .picnic a success, and special praise is due to Mr Murphy and Mr Macgregor for their labours. During the day a large programme of sports was gone through, the officials being as follows :—Judges, Messrs Murphy, Harston, and Beattie; handicappers, Messrs Shaw and Poland; starter, Mr Goosman ; seere T tary, Miss M.
