OWHAROA HOTEL.
The Police reported that Ralph Montgomery, the licensee of the Owharoa Hotel, had not had; the building painted, as instructed by the committee.
Mr Jackson, who appeared for the licensee, said that the painting had not been carried out on account of the bad weather, but would be proceeded with as soon as the fine weather commenced. It was not in anyone's interest to have, the work done during the bad,weather. _ '
Sergeant Brennan stid that he agreed that the weather had been bad fpr painting. • Tho Chairman said he did not see why licensees did not make repairs without reports. being made. .They. should see the necessity for repairs as well as the person inspecting the premises. .:■: Mr Jackson said the work would be commenced as soon as-the weather settled.
The Chairman said the work would hate to t>e finished before the next meeting.
