A GENUINE LIBERAL.

(To the Editor.)

Sm, —I wish you to allowgme to remark upon the tyranny and the coercive measures proposed by the self-elected body in Ohinemuri calling itself the Liberal Federation League. It is evident that there aye many sections of this so-called league, each of which has its own candidate, and each section also doing its level best—willy nilly—to get its man in. lam pleased to say—very pleased, that there is one candidate at least who refuses to be bound by such a self-nominated coterie, and that is Mr Leo Deßakker. He intends to go to the poll. He is, at any rate, as much a Liberal as many now calling themselves such; and I understand, although under much pressure, has declined to withdraw from the contest.—l am, etc., Liberal.
