BOYS’ BRIGADE
The Oamaru Company of the Boys' Brigade held its prizegiving ceremony recently. The inspection and march past was taken by Major M. H. R. Jones, this being followed by a display of the company’s activities. The Mayoress, Mrs M. F. E. Cooney, presented the following prizes:— Best squad for month: Squad 2 (Lancecorporal Barnett.). Best boy for month: Private R. Hill. Membership competition: Private R. Dick. Ambulance certificate: Lance-corporals I. Barnett and D, Hill, Privates J. Nicholson and R. Hill Swimming certificate: Private R. Dodd. Signalling certificate: Private R. Hill Wayfaring certificate: Lance-corporal. D. Hill. Discharge certificate: Sergeant D. Shave. One-year service badge: Lancecorporals I. Marnett and D. Hill, Privates J. Nicholson and R. Hill. Three-year service badge: Lance-corpora) D. Hill. Fireman’s badge: Lance-corporals I. Barnett and D. Hill, Privates J. Nicholson and L. Hay, Camp pennant: Squad 2. Mayson Cup: Private R. Hill.
