Principals’ Reports
A report that in spite of inclement conditions over £IOO was raised at Hie gaiden party held by the waitaki Girls’ High School, was made by the principal, Miss M. K. Dunning, to the monthly meeting of the Waitaki High School Board of Governors on Tuesday night. Mr D. W. Meldrum was in the chair. Forms Va, !Vp2 and lllh had won the lnter-form drama competitions. Tlie rector of the boys’ school, Mr M. Leadbetter, stated there were 545 pupils on the roll. As far as possible it was intended to enrol all new pupils for the senior school before the end of the year. A new special prize, the Miss Edgar prize for art, had been established for the encouragement of art in tlie intermediate department. This was made possible through the generosity of Miss H. J. Edgar. The resignations of Miss D. V. Ralnsford and Miss A. McCulloch from the staff of the girls’ school were accepted with regret. Mrs J. Keen was appointed to the girls’ school.
